So hey guys, This is my first journal, and I believe many of my followers will be a bit confused with what I'm posting in it.
Of course, I'm a HUGE Jurassic Park franchise fan, and paleontology is something I look forward in working with in the future. But I've always been a Star Wars fan too, and since the release of The Force Awakens, I've been trapped in this universe in a way I thought I would never be, and believe me, I'm happy with that (It's a TRAP!)
So, to the topic:
Unfortunately, I'm not at Star Wars Celebration Europe this year, but I've been following it through the livestream on the Star Wars YouTube Channel. It's AMAZING everything which They are showing there, from the Death Star DLC pack for Battlefront to the amazing painel featuring C-3PO himself, Anthony Daniels. That guy is awesome!
But I thought something which was going to blow me away would be the Rogue One painel. I don't know if it's because I wasn't there personally and I wasn't able to see the trailer for the movie, But I didn't find it interesting, and really it didn't had any major revelations, what is disapointing, But also good, from a certain point of view.
Then I watched the Rebels painel. Ever since Twilight of the Apprentice I've become so addicted to this series, in such a deep way that I started pairing two characters of the show (Ezra and Sabine), and I have hopes they stay together in this season, at least.
But man, that painel really touched me. All my Star Wars feelings were stroke with a strong hit of nostalgy, childhood and happiness. First of:
I loved the new designs, every single one of them. Yes, even Sabine's new hair color and Ezra's new haircut. Kanan's 'mask', I think, is a bit weird, but I still loved it.
Wedge is back, this time joining the Rebellion. Man, I remember seeing Return of the Jedi as a kid, shouting for the X-Wing which Wedge was piloting to destroy the Death Star II. I Love his character, and hope he is more developed in Rebels.
The Outrider, MAN, I missed that ship from Legends. It's like man, if you can't have the Millenium Falcon, then steal the Outrider, because it's amazing as that piece of junk!
Separatist droids are back, and I'm fine with it. Many people HATE the prequels, and I can see why, although I don't hate them (call me crazy, I know, but I grew up with those movies, and hey, it was my childhood, even if I hate Jar Jar). I liked the Trade Federation droids, and I hope they are of Great use for the Rebels.
Dark Troopers, damn, these guys are dangerous, and I'm Just waiting to see the mess they can do.
Old faces are back, such as Hondo, Chaim Syndulla (hope I wrote it right), Fenn Rau, Ahzmorigan,Tarkin and of course, old bad Maul!
I'm really looking forward for Maul on this season. He's such an amazing character, but I expect him to die, once and for all, because c'mon, he has escaped death more than enough times.
More Mandalorians are here too, and they are from Sabine's lineage, if I record Dave Filoni's words. Hope we learn more about them.
The DarkSaber, finally it has returned to Mandalorian hands with Sabine, and they can build her relationship with Ezra very well with that elegant and awesome weapon.
The Sith Holocron, dude, that thing is from hell. It has some magic inside of it, which seems to be from the Nightsisters, don't know how, and well that thing controls Kanan somehow afterwards, and somehow Kanan will get his sight back. But the idea of melting a Sith and a Jedi Holocron together is new, and I really expect nothing good from it's result (again, It's a TRAP! Kabum!)
Ezra speaking like he's dying in the end of the trailer, man, I really hope that is not the case. Not only because I ship him with another character, but because I am just starting to like him as a protagonist to the series.
Governor Price looks just like that woman from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Seriously, just analyze her. It's the same exact person.
And now, the moment we've all been waiting for...
When I heard the music on the trailer I knew something bad was coming. Didn't expect Vader, but actually a new Inquisitor. But then I saw the white clothing, calm and terryfing posture and blue hands. At that moment everything around me just stopped. I wasn't believing my own eyes. I swear that I almost cried there dude. The camera just got closer, and I couln't' hold myself on the chair. And then they reveal...
"To defeat an enemy, you must know them. Not simply their battle tactics. But their History... Philosophy... Art..."
His blue face with red eyes appeared, and I almost screamed in disbelief.
Grand Admiral Thrawn. My God. Thrawn is back to the CANON!
I simply couldn't process the rest of the trailer. I had to watch it over and over again untill I could understand everything, but I'm still trying to believe what I saw.
Thrawn is back, and you know what that mean... ARGH! The rebels are in serious trouble now, man!
Dave Filoni has just made one of my wishes for the series become true : Thrawn is back. I'm simply still shocked to know that one of the greatest EU characters is now here to take down the rebels! Now all he needs to do is get Ezra with Sabine. Then I swear that I'll simply... Damn, I don't have any words for that xD.
But Thrawn man, THRAWN DUDE! Big stuffs are coming, and believe me, the Star Wars universe will never be the same after that.
Season 3 is going to be awesome, and so will Rogue One be. What a great time to be a Star Wars fan, don't you think?
Let me know what you guys expect for Thrawn, Season 3 and well the whole Star Wars universe in the future. Thanks for reading!
May the Force be with you. Always.
